Following reports today that the National Trust is facing a legal challenge from Ineos Shale, John Mann MP has called for an end to “bully-boy tactics” in the Fracking industry.
Bassetlaw MP John Mann commented: “Ineos is starting seismic testing this week across 250 square km of the East Midlands.”
“The National Trust refused to allow Ineos access to carry out tests on its land. Now Ineos is not only threatening to sue but refusing to give a share of the 6 per cent of total revenues it has pledged to landowners and communities.”
“It is absolutely right that the National Trust wants to protect our places of natural beauty. Local people will be deeply unimpressed by Ineos’ bully-boy tactics.”
