John Mann MP today responded to the announcement that the regulator “Monitor” will be working with Bassetlaw Hospital to implement financial changes by calling for patient care to be protected and for the increase in car parking charges to be reversed.
Mann commented: “It is important that services at Bassetlaw hospital are protected and that patient care does not suffer in any way. It would be an error to make simplistic cuts to the hospital’s finances.”
“It is also concerning that fees for car parking have increased – particularly for staff as this means a cut in their real pay.”
“I have written to the hospital trust calling on them to reverse the increase in parking charges”
